There was a time when point and click adventure games were king but with the advancement of gaming technology over the last few decades the genre slowly became dated and almost irrelevant. I mean I remember playing Myst and having no ungodly idea what to do and these were the days when you couldn't just look it up online. That said I was still having fun. The good thing is that the genre isn't completely dead and point and click games are still being release to this day.
Devolver Digital have announced Return to Monkey Island, a follow up to The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, will be released later this year. The originals were were released in 1990 and 1991 respectively and received critical acclaim. While there were three other games in the series, Return to Monkey Island will serve as a follow up to the first two games and will still respect the continuity of the rest of the series.
