Over the weekend, the development team for Dead Space did an hour long livestream detailing the sounds behind the game. Audio can play such a critical part in any work of horror and Dead Space isn't just any work of horror, but one of the defining games in the gaming medium. As part of the remake of this classic, the audio is also getting a facelift. This livestream dove into three key points, separated into the links just below, or in context of the full stream in the embedded video.
The other big news is a further narrowing down of the release date. The initial announcement gave no indication of a timeline, but this latest news drops an "early 2023" on us. Can't wait for that release, or more news - which is scheduled for the next livestream coming in May. That event promises to focus on visual and the art direction. Long way to go on this one, but I can't imagine it won't be worth the wait.
