Final Fantasy VI (Or Final Fantasy III, if you still like to say that) got the pixel remaster treatment, and releases today on Steam and mobile. Regarded one of the greatest games of all time, Final Fantasy VI was the last 2D JRPG game, and it blew minds of people world wide. After it's initial release in 1994, it has been spotted on Playstation 1, PSP, Game boy Advance, and even mobile versions. This one is the latest revision, and promises some must see visuals, including real voices for the opera scene For the three of you new to the game, I'll try to sum it up.
"Terra, the last remaining esper, breaks free of capture from the evil empire. With her on your side, travel the rebuilt world and add characters to your party to stop evil forces from restarting the war of the Magi." Good? Here's some press.
Universally updated 2D pixel graphics, including the iconic FINAL FANTASY pixel character designs created by Kazuko Shibuya, the original artist and current collaborator.
A beautifully rearranged soundtrack in a faithful FINAL FANTASY style, overseen by the original composer Nobuo Uematsu.
Improved gameplay, including modernized UI, auto-battle options and more.
Supplemental extras like the bestiary, illustration gallery and music player.
