Paramount Pictures and SEGA just announced that there will be two new Sonic The Hedgehog projects in the upcoming future. A third official Sonic The Hedgehog film is now in development while Paramount+ will create a live-adaption television series centering around the character Knuckles, voiced by Idris Elba. Note that the second Sonic The Hedgehog Film is releasing April 8, 2022.
The original Sonic The Hedgehog movie broke multiple box office records and became the top-grossing video game adaptation of all time, earning $320 million in worldwide box office. The sequel brings back the original cast of the first film, among new characters.

Sonic The Hedgehog is a series of video games that tells the story of the world's fastest hedgehog as he accustoms to life on Earth. In addition to the upcoming movies and television series, there is also an upcoming Sonic video game. Sonic Frontiers is releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC sometime holiday 2022.
