The Pixel Remaster series is bringing all six of the 80's and 90's Final Fantasy games back to life in the 2020s. Final Fantasy VI (which was released in North America as Final Fantasy III back in 1994) is the final planned entry into the remaster series, and it releases later this month, February 23rd, on PC and mobile.
More than a few "best Final Fantasy" lists place FF VI/III as the best in the series, so the additional to the lineup is a welcome completion to the remaster. All of the games in the remaster can be purchased separately on the iOS App Store or Google Play store, or individually or as a bundle for PC on Steam. For these remasters, every pixel has been reworked and updates as well as the musical scores, with modern navigation and menu options added as well. The classic gameplay and plot elements of the originals remain untouched.
