Ghostwire: Tokyo showcases spooky gameplay deep dive; releases March 2022

PlayStation dedicated a special showcase event today for Tango Gameworks' upcoming game, Ghostwire: Tokyo. This horror action-adventure title is set in the first person perspective and has players take control of Akito in an alternate version of Tokyo that has been struck by the supernatural.

The city's residents have disappeared as a mysterious fog encompasses Tokyo. It's up to Akito and his partner, K.K, who is a spirit that inhabits Akito's body and allows him to use supernatural powers himself, to get to the bottom of it. Most of the combat seen are different forms of spell casting and combo weaving. This is a stark difference from Tango Gameworks' previous work in The Evil Within series. Akito makes his way through the streets of Shibuya in search of Hannya, the culprit behind the fog, battling entities known as The Visitors and getting help from friendly yokai along the way.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is releasing on PlayStation 5 and PC on March 25, 2022. Those who pre-order the game will gain early access to the title on March 22, 2022 and receive the following in-game items:

• Shinobi Outfit
• Kunai Weapon
