Max Mraz is an accomplished game developer. Having had early success with Yarntown, a 2D Bloodborne tribute, Max went on to develop Ocean's Heart - a Zelda-like action adventure title that currently holds a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. Max is also one of the cohosts of The Gaming Nexus Show - Gaming Nexus' bi-weekly podcast - so it is with great pleasure that we share today's announcement that Ocean's Heart is officially coming to Nintendo Switch on February 10, 2022.
Ocean's Heart follows the adventures of Tilia, a young swashbuckler on a mission to save her father from the dread pirate Blackbeard. Along the way, she explores an expansive map full of secrets, picks up cool new weapons and abilities, and encounters an endless array of sly jokes that Max slipped into the experience.
It's super exciting to us that Max's game is launching on Switch. How does he feel about it? Well, I suppose we could reach out to Max for a unique quote, but for now we'll just stick with the quote provided by a recent press release:
“Ocean’s Heart wears its influences on its sleeve, so of course I am ecstatic to see the game come to Nintendo Switch. Ocean’s Heart is a love letter to the Legend of Zelda but it also has its own uniqueness that sets it apart. It’s about exploring, and the sense of satisfaction of finding a mystery out there, and trying to figure out what it means,” said Max Mraz, the developer of Ocean’s Heart. “So it lures you off the path by being full of hidden areas that hint at stories and hide new monsters and treasure. After building my vision for Ocean’s Heart from the ground up, it’s satisfying to see my game on the platform of its greatest inspiration.
