According to the official site, THQ Nordic were fans of Gothic from its release 20 years ago, and when they acquired the franchise in 2019, realized that simply remaking the game would not be enough, they had to "re-imagine" it. After the playable teaser, the remake was officially a go even if details have been somewhat scarce. Well the folks over at THQ Nordic have popped back up to remind us that, while there is still no firm announcement on when we might expect the Gothic Remake, work is ongoing with the following holiday trailer showing off the goblin models. When it does eventually release for PC, PlayStation5, and Xbox Series X|S or at least come closer to a release announcement, we will surely be back with more news.
