NVIDIA's a big partner for EA and DICE and the Battlefield series has been implementing RTX features for a bit now. With the upcoming release of Battlefield 2042, here's a look at some of those that will be available.
Graphics will get improved two ways. First up, there's ray traced ambient occlusion that will improve the looks of shadows and less exposed areas. If you're running at a higher resolution, turning on DLSS can improve performance and sometimes make the game look even better than native resolution.
Gameplay gets improved with Reflex, which reduces the time from when you press your mouse button to when the game registers you firing a weapon. Those what want every little advantage they can get will want to use Reflex.
Of course you'll need a compatible NVIDIA card to utilizes these features. Battlefield 2042 is scheduled for November 19th on all platforms, but the PC will be the only one getting these cool RTX options.
