Indie developer Daniel Mullins (Pony Island, The Hex) and publisher Devolver Digital (Stories Untold, Loop Hero) announced today the release date for Inscryption. Inscryption is a card-based odyssey that blends deckbuilding roguelike with escape-room style puzzles and psychological horror. In the hopes to hook anxious prospectors they've opened up pre-orders and dropped a teaser demo.
You acquire a deck of woodland creature cards by draft, surgery and self-mutilation, as you seek to unlock the secrets lurking behind the cabin walls as you attempt to escape a sadistic stranger known only as Leshy. In the trailer you see that cards talk to you and taunt you as you make your plays against the shadowy figures.
