A while back we got the Castlevania Anniversary Collection which brought seven Castlevania games from the NES, SNES, and Game Boy, along with Kid Dracula for the Famicom, to modern systems. This year celebrates the 35th anniversary of the series with the original game releasing on September 26th, 1986 in Japan for the Famicom. What better way to celebrate the 35th anniversary than with a new release titled the Castlevania Advance Collection.
The Castlevania Advance Collection brings together the three Castlevania games for the Game Boy Advance: Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow. I remember playing through these games years ago when they came out and they remain some of my favorite games in the series. Along with those three games we also get Castlevania: Dracula X, the Super NES reimagining of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. While not quite as good as Rondo of Blood itself, Dracula X is still a solid entry in the franchise.
Castlevania Advance Collection is available now for PC via Stream, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
