Sable, the new open world adventure game from developer Shedworks, dropped today on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Macintosh, and Steam. The game takes place in a 1970's sci-fi world, all beautiful vistas and thrumming synth music. It is beautiful and fascinating, so I couldn't help but jump in for a few minutes during my lunch today to check it out:
I had a pretty good time running around in Sable, but I'm going to have to set it aside for now. Too many pending reviews to commit a lot of time to this beautiful, intriguing game. Our own Randy Kalista is working on a full review for Sable - likely to be just as engrossing and lyrical as the game itself. Randy's got it like that. While you wait, you can read some of his stories leading up the release of the game here and here. He's been waiting a long time for Sable - his first reporting on the game was from E3 2018 - so I'm excited to see what he thinks of it.
