It's been a while since I've played any of Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, yet I was still kind of surprised that I missed the Season 4 trailer that dropped a couple of days ago. Naturally I watched it to see who all was coming to the game and...I'm kind of mixed on this season. First off we're getting Adam Park in his ninja form from Mighty Morphin' season three which I'm perfectly okay with (though I will be a tad disappointed if there's no voice clip of him saying "I'm a frog" at any point), along with the unmorphed form of Doggie Cruger, the S.P.D. Shadow Ranger, as an alternate skin. The two other characters we're getting kind of make me scratch my head a bit.
The first is Poisandra from Power Rangers: Dino Charge which is an interesting choice because while she could be considered a "main villain" being Sledge's fiance throughout the series, though I don't recall if she did anything noteworthy in a battle. Sledge, being THE main villain for that series would have made a bit more sense, but then we have the final character for the season pass which is Rita Repulsa from Mighty Morphin'. This to me is really baffling because as far as I recall, Rita never battled any of the rangers at all during her seasons so I'm really curious as to how that'll work. In terms of adding villains to the game I would have gone with either Rito Revolto (MMPR) or Mesagog (Dino Thunder), but I'll wait to pass judgment until they're released.
Season 4 of Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid drops on September 21st with Adam, followed by Poisandra in October and Rita in November.
