Depending on the platform, your chance to jump in on the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta might just be this afternoon. PlayStation players, both PS5 and PS5 can get in on the action starting at now, actually as of about 2 hours ago if I have my timezones right. The PlayStation Beta is an open beta and open to all players, no pre-order required. Two days from now on Saturday September 18th, the rest of y'all get your chance. That beta for all the Xbox console family and PC is Early Access, so you will have had to pre-order the game to get a code to enter. Crossplay is active, so you can match with anyone, including friends on other systems.
Building off of the Champion Hill game mode (read
Charlie's thoughts on that one here) that was introduced in the first Beta weekend and the Patrol, Team Deathmatch, Domination and Kill Confirmed modes, this time around we introduce the Search & Destroy mode and add a new map to bring the total to 4 locations. On the 18th, two additional playlists will become available: a Solos version of Champion Hill, and a 24/7 Team Deathmatch with Combat Pacing set to Blitz.
If you participate in the beta and reach level 20, you can score rewards that transfer into Call of Duty Warzone and Mobile:
- A Weapon Blueprint for Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone, available in Vanguard following the game’s launch on November 5, and in Warzone when the new main map launches later this year.
- An Arthur Kingsley Operator in Call of Duty: Mobile, available shortly after the end of the Beta.
