Kojima’s next project, much like the man himself, is mysterious. Rumours have circulated through the rumour mill that Kojima is working on an Xbox exclusive, other rumours point to a Silent Hill revival, and now, we might have a new one to throw into the mix. Norman Reedus, who stars as protagonist Sam Porter Bridges in Death Stranding, recently heavily implied that Death Stranding 2 is coming.
In an interview with AdoroCinema, Reedus let it slip: “I think we’re doing a second Death Stranding, [It] is in negotiations right now. So…Yay!”
The original IP was the first from Kojima’s new studio and proved a success selling over 5 million copies across PS4 and PC. For now, Death Stranding fans have the Death Stranding Director’s Cut to look forward to. Our own Randy Kalista was a big fan of Death Stranding giving it a score 9.5/10 in the GamingNexus review of Death Stranding.
Death Stranding Director's Cut features differences like new facilities, weapons, and delivery support items. See the jet-pack like thrusters, the new firing range, and more in this gamescom 2021 extended gameplay trailer:
Death Stranding Director’s Cut launches on PS5 September 24, 2021.
