With Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong currently in development, it's time to meet one of the three playable characters: Leysha. Leysha is a Malkavian who, like other Malkavians, hides an incurable pain after a bite from a vampire. The trailer below shows Leysha playing hide-and-seek with her child, Halsey, and she thinks she found her, but when she opens the closet doors, Halsey is no longer there and now a drawing is on the ground, raising the question of "is any of this real?".
Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is currently slated to release sometime in 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
Lesquin, France, June 13, 2021 - At the PC Gaming Show, NACON and the Bordeaux-based studio Big Bad Wolf revealed a new trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, the story-driven RPG based on the famous role-playing game franchise. The video introduces a tormented young woman named Leysha, one of the three playable characters.
Leysha is a Malkavian, one of the founding clans of the Camarilla, and appears as a young woman about 30 years old. Beneath her pale skin and different-sized pupils hides incurable pain, a mental instability that all Malkavians suffer from after the Embrace, the bite inflicted upon a human by a vampire, a creature doomed to remain hidden in plain sight.
In the video, Leysha is playing innocently with her child, Halsey. But this benign situation turns into a waking nightmare and raises the question: is any of this real?
To hide herself, Leysha uses Obfuscate, one of the many vampiric powers that can be used in the game. As a story-driven RPG, Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong features unique gameplay mechanics. Resolve conflicts and mysteries to gain experience points and levelling up your characters, thus boosting your special powers.
