At today's E3 Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft announced that its partnership with Nintendo is still going strong, and a new Mario + Rabbids game is on the way. News of this game had spilled out onto Twitter earlier in the day, but only a couple of hours before the game was officially announced.
In Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Mario and the Rabbids (including the kinda creepy Rabbid Peach) do battle with the villainous Cursa, who is inflicting chaos on planets across the galaxy while seeking to drain the energy from the cute little sparks. This game promises to blow out the formula started in Kingdom Battle, with the action pulling away from the kingdom and moving out into planets around the galaxy.
"Players will create their dream team of three Heroes from an eclectic roster of nine to face surprising bosses, familiar enemies from the Mario universe and exceptional Rabbids enemies in their cosmic quest! There are dozens of Sparks throughout the galaxy to locate, rescue and join the journey. Each Spark has a distinct power and personality, and heroes can use their special abilities in battle to gain the upper hand in combat. When this unlikely team combines forces with the Sparks’ immense energy, anything is possible … for better OR worse!"
