Yesterday, Summer Game Fest ended with the debut of a new trailer for Elden Ring and a release date. January 21, 2022 is when you'll be able to get your hands on the collaboration between George R.R. Martin and Hidetaka Miyazaki.
Announced at E3 2019, the game from the developers of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Dark Souls, and Bloodbourne has been highly anticipated since then. There wasn't much news for the game, but a lot was shown yesterday as well as the announcement of the release date.
It's been said this is a larger scaled game than FromSoftware's previous ones and that you'll have plenty of monsters to kill with the more expansive world. Not only will the world be big, but you'll experience both weather and time progression across various biomes.
Elden Ring will be available for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S when it's released early next year. You can watch the trailer here to see it in all its glory.
