The Dying Light 2 (now subtitled "Stay Human") hype train had been gathering steam over the last couple of weeks. The latest car to be added (because it's a train, see?) is TechlandGG, an all new community website where players and fans can earn in-game rewards for when the game launches.
I logged in this morning, and there isn't a ton going on yet, though I was granted an exclusive weapon for the original Dying Light just for logging in. There are also several posters and wallpapers to download.
But before long, site members will be able to earn XP points to level up their accounts and unlock bonuses through a number of ways.
Sure, the site is a marketing tool to engage fans, but I've certainly seen worse campaigns. And everybody likes free stuff, right?
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is scheduled to launch on December 7 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-ordering gets you the usual pile of goodies. In addition, a new Platinum Edition of Dying Light is currently available, with all of the DLC from the original game.
