Previously released only on the Nintendo Switch, now everyone can enjoy the pain of Ghosts n' Goblins Resurrection. But, it's a good kind of pain, right? Our own Games N Moorer died 93 times on the second level. Good or not, that's bringing the classic gaming pain of a classic gaming game.
As of today, in addition to Switch, Ghost n' Goblins Resurrection is out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is also playable on next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility. Resurrection is a modern reboot of the classic game, but keeps to the roots of old-school gaming by ramping up the difficulty because that's just how we played games back in the day, kids. Now get off my lawn.
There is a Page mode available with unlimited lives for those that aren't into the masochism of classic gaming. There's also Co-op mode, you can upgrade your hero's abilities, and all of the graphics have been upgraded to take advantage of modern day rigs. 35 years later, this isn't your father's Ghost n' Goblins, but it still hits like it is.
We had a review key available but I'll be honest I watched Joseph play it on the Game N Moorer stream and just lol, nope'd right out of there. Nut nothing ventured, nothing gained. Give it a go and if you do find yourself on the right side of success, you'll likely be rewarded with a sense of accomplishment that most other wimpy games that make up modern day gaming simply can't offer. Check it out in the various digital marketplaces for the systems listed above.
