After hitting us with the darkened indoor garage track in the last trailer, Hot Wheels Unleashed moves the action outside to the bright sunny sky in this new gameplay reveal:
The Skyscraper level is actually a full environment, with three separate tracks winding through the various floors of a construction site. I love watching these trailers for the way they casually reveal gameplay and tricks - like the magnetic upside-down track, or the moment when one car just decides to cut loose on a loop and land further down the track than intended.
In addition to the new tracks, six new vehicles are featured in the video. These names should be familiar to Hot Wheels collectors: Bump Around, Mountain Mauler, Sandivore, Boom Car, Buns of Steel, Fast Gassin and Motosaurus. The final game will include more than 60 cars.
Hot Wheels Unleased is looking better every time I see it. The full game is scheduled to release on September 30, 2021 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, all of the Xboxes, Nintendo Switch, and PC on both Steam and Epic Games Store. For more info, you can check out the game's official site.
