Despite not enjoying quite the same reception as the first game, The Last of Us 2 was undeniably a success for Sony and Naughty Dog. Naturally, plans of some sort would be underway to flesh out what a part 3 would involve. Well, The Last of Us creative director Neil Druckmann recently revealed that the outline for a third game has already been written.
Starring on the Script Apart podcast, Druckmann had the following to say: "I don’t know how much I want to reveal... [co-writer Halley Gross] and I did write an outline for a story, that we're not making – but I hope one day can see the light of day – that explores a little bit of what happens after this game. We’ll see."
Given the recent rumours of a The Last of Us remake being in the works, it seems fans of the series can look forward to a new project soon.
