It seems Sony are preparing to announce an add-on for the PlayStation Plus service that will somehow involve movies and/or TV series. That’s according to a leak on the PlayStation Polish website. Sony, alongside their ever popular PlayStation division, also run Sony Pictures Entertainment. It’s called PlayStation Plus Video Pass and it’s yet unclear exactly what it will include.
Thanks to reporting from VGC, we do know the following movies will be included in some capacity: Venom, Zombieland Double Tap, and Bloodshot. All three movies are produced by Sony Pictures. What else could be included? Well, Sony also own a significant amount of television content through Sony Pictures Television. Their acquisition of Funimation means they also own a great deal of anime content.
The leak suggests the service will commence on April 22 so it shouldn’t be long until we receive official confirmation.
