Do you have kids? Do you have Netflix? If the answer to both of those questions is "yes", then you are probably familiar with The Last Kids on Earth, the surprisingly cheery zombie apocalypse show for kids. Originally a book series by Max Barllier, The Last Kids on Earth popped up as an animated series a few years back, and the franchise's media domination is set to continue with the release of The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom on June 4th.
Yes, this game does look like a kids' game - probably because it is a kids' game. I have kids, so I'm totally okay with this. They tend to prefer things without blood and guts. The television series is surprisingly smart, and my daughter tore through the books a few months back like her life depended on it, so this game ought to be a pretty big hit at my place. In fact, I could see my access to my PS5 disappearing for a few days when Last Kids releases.
The game promises an all-new story, with drop-in 1-4 player couch co-op, with an eventual patch for online multiplayer. The Last Kids On Earth and the Staff of Doom is scheduled to release on June 4th on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation consoles, Xbox consoles, and Steam.
