I've had Amazon Luna access since day one of the early access period - not because I'm a games writer, I just lucked into it. It's been a fascinating thing to watch, as the library of games expands and becomes more diverse. Interestingly, I don't really play games on Luna all that much, since I don't have a Firestick and can't play on my TV. But I've maintained the subscription, just to keep an eye on the library and check in once a week or so to see what's new.
In the past several weeks, Luna has introduced some outright bangers to its library. There are several big games that I've always wanted to play but have never gotten around to, and I've actually been firing Luna up for real play sessions lately. Check out some of the more exciting (to me) stuff that is available on Luna these days:
Katamari Damacy Reroll:
Team Sonic Racing:
Kingdom Come Deliverance:
Observer: System Redux
Part of the fun of Luna has been its curated game library - you never know what you are going to see when you log in. It's almost like a gaming loot crate, where for six bucks a month, stuff randomly shows up. I don't know if I would ever make Luna my primary source for games; it's too unpredictable for that, and there are very few AAA titles available. But for a platform that features mostly indies, Luna puts forward some total winners.
Luna still hasn't rolled out to the public at large. You still need to win the drawing to be added to the early access pool. But as time goes on and more games are regularly added, the value proposition for Luna only seems to grow stronger. If you consider it a gaming side dish instead of the main course, Luna can be well worth six bucks a month.
