The Strong National Museum of Play apparently houses the World Video Game Hall of Fame located in Rochester, New York. The Strong is, “a highly interactive, collections-based museum devoted to the history and exploration of play.”
This year the 12 nominees are:

Call of Duty
FarmVille
FIFA International Soccer
Guitar Hero
Mattel Football
Microsoft Flight Simulator
Pole Position
Portal
StarCraft
Tron

You can vote for your favorite here. According to the site, “The three games that receive the most public votes will be submitted on one ballot and will join the other top-three submissions from members of the International Selection Advisory Committee. The public will collectively act as one member of the committee.”
Starting in 2015 the first two years six games were added, since then four make this list every year. So far the list includes the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog, World of Warcraft, Super Mario Kart, and Minecraft among a total of 28 games.
The final inductees will be announced on May 6.
