Square Enix recently announced the upcoming release of Life Is Strange: True Colors with an enticing and emotional trailer (pun absolutely intended).
Although the trailer launched last Thursday, I saw it for the first time today -- so it's news to me.
True Colors features a new protagonist named Alex Chen, who moves to the small, seemingly-secluded town of Haven Springs. Upon arrival, Alex reunites with her brother Gabe and everything is peaceful and peachy. But we need conflict, which comes in the form of a mysterious, community-shattering "accident." It's up to Alex and her supernatural emotions -- which enable her to read and manipulate others better than any therapist -- to solve the mystery, unearth the town's secrets, and serve up some justice.
Like previous installments, True Colors is a choice-driven narrative. Unlike previous installments, True Colors allows players to play through the entire five-chapter game at once, whereas before players had to wait between chapter releases. (Much to the delight of series fans, I'm sure.)
True Colors will be available on September 10, 2021 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Stadia.
