Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has kicked off its League Play slate this week. Initially introduced in Black Ops 4, League play is the most played competitive mode in the Black Ops series. In it you get a chance to test your skills as you rise up through 30 different rank tiers, playing the same maps and modes that the pros compete with. So there's no confusion, League Play is entered by an entirely different menu placed in between multiplayer and zombies.
Initially you play 5 test matches to earn your starting rank, then rise and fall based on your performance from there. League Play Events run twice a week: a Weekday Event Monday-Friday and the Weekend Event Friday-Monday. Climb the ladder in each event and use that to move forward with your next Rank promotion.
