Seems like there's a lot of Oblivion still being played this weekend.

This weekend I'm going to try and wrap up Spider-man 3, and I'm expecting Shreck the Third for the 360 any time now, so I'll be starting on that as soon as it comes in. Aside from that I'm just playing some Wii Sports and Tiger Woods for fun.

Continuing my journey through the best games of yesteryear (if you haven't guessed, I just upgraded my rig) I just started playing Oblivion. It's an absolutely daunting game, and the depth keeps surprising me. It's kind of like playing Fable, but, you know, good.

I've still got a runner's high from the gaming marathon I jogged over Memorial Day weekend. I've sampled all of the new-gen systems, and I'm mainly a PC guy, but I can only foot the bill for one console -- sue me. So I finally picked up a well-deserved 360, and a Blockbuster game pass (all the better to play catch-up, my dear). I may be late to the party, but I'll be winding the Gears of War in my Viva Piñata to bump some Def Jam Icon in the deck.

Unfortunately, my Xbox 360 decided to take a dump and left me without a console for the entire Memorial Day weekend and beyond. The Coffin is in the mail, but it may be a bit before I work something out as a replacement. In the meantime, I will be playing the World Golf Tour beta on the PC, Call of Duty on the PSP and with my kids in the back yard.

This week I have been switching off between playing SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash DS and slamming my head against the table as hard as I can. So far I'm having a hard time deciding which is worse. Outside of that I have decided to go back through ActRaiser, this was always one of my favorite Super NES games and I'm impressed with how well its held up. It's been a long time since I've played the game so I've forgotten a lot of the nuance, it feels like a brand new experience going through it all of these years later. At least, I think it's time that's made me forget ... maybe it's because I keep pounding my head against the table. Whatever the case, it's a lot more enjoyable than Card Fighters Clash DS!

I’ve still been having fun with Oblivion, and probably will for a little while longer. However, I also managed to pick up Odin Sphere, and while I haven’t put in a lot of time yet, this title is pretty amazing so far. I think I’m going to have a blast with this one.

I'm going to be playing a lot of ShadowRun this weekend as I try and learn the game and score a bunch of the game's many achievements. Time permitting I'm going to try and get in a little time with the Warhawk beta and maybe some time with a new beta that I'm not allowed to talk about.
