Stadia - as a platform and an organization - loves surprises. I get this, as I am a big fan of surprises myself. I can't tell you how many times I've piled my kids in the car without telling them where we are going, just to arrive at an amusement park or someplace similarly awesome. Giving people unexpected fun is extremely rewarding.
This morning, Stadia dropped Cthulhu Saves Christmas into the Free with Pro section of the Stadia store, which made me laugh out loud when I saw it. I'm a fan of Zeboyd Games' clever and funny JRPGs, and I haven't had a chance to play this one yet. The sequel to Cthulhu Saves the World, Cthulhu Saves Christmas launched on December 23, 2019 on Steam, to Very Positive reviews.

If you haven't played one of these games before, they are a lot of fun. The pacing is quick and tight, and you can generally get through one in six or seven hours - not a huge time commitment for a JRPG. Your characters zip around at light speed, and the battles are zippy and fun. Definitely snag this one if you are a Stadia Pro member - and if you aren't, maybe consider it. Stadia just can't stop blasting players with free games. Pro is one of the best deals in gaming.
