Tonight at The Game Awards 2020 Capcom announced two new games coming to the Nintendo Switch: Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection and Capcom Arcade Stadium. Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection marks the return to Capcom's classic series that debuted over 35 years ago. The new entry combines the franchise's action platforming gameplay with storybook-like graphics and new challenges. Once again players will control Arthur as he runs, jumps, battles, and inevitably dies through new stages set in the Demon Realm while he attempts to rescue the princess from the Demon Lord. Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection will launch on the Nintendo Switch on February 25th, 2021.
Capcom Arcade Stadium will bring 32 Capcom arcade games to the Switch. The base game will come with 1943 - The Battle of Midway and the original Ghosts 'n Goblins for free as a stand-alone add-on. Players can then choose to purchase up to three different arcade packs that include games from different eras such as the 80s with Bionic Commando and Strider, to the 90s with Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Players can also purchase the all-in pack which includes all three 10-game packs. The collection will include up to four-player local multiplayer for games that support it and each game will include a variety of options such as Game Speed, Difficulty Level, Display Settings and Filters, and more. Each game will also come with a rewind feature which will definitely come in handy as arcade games had the tendency to be difficult back then, especially Ghosts 'n Goblins. Capcom Arcade Stadium will launch in February 2021.
