Override 2: Super Mech League is running a free beta this weekend, so I hopped online with my son to check out a few matches on PS5. This being one of my first tries broadcasting directly from PS5, you can only hear my stupid voice in the video, sounding like I'm having a conversation with myself. But I assure you that he was on the other end, hollering "Suplex into the lava! Suplex into the lava! at me 500 times while he, you know, suplexed me into the lava.
Needless to say, my son ended up destroying me in almost all of these matches. It was pretty fun to play though, trying to remember the moves from the original game (which I was never terribly good at). The beta runs through this evening, so there is still time to jump in and mess around if you are so inclined.
Override 2: Super Mech League will be releasing next month. Pre-orders are now available for $39.99 at retail ahead of a December 2020 launch on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch.
