I have gone on record saying that Just Dance 2020 is my most-played Stadia game. It might not be the game that I have played the most of (that would be Assassin's Creed: Odyssey), but my family grooves on Just Dance to an excessive degree. The game has kept our family well exercised during lock down, and is a lot of fun on a rainy day.
I was excited to see that the next edition of the game was announced for Stadia. Poking around on the Just Dance 2021's website, I was curious to see if it could come out on next generation consoles. It seems that the game is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, but not for the next gen Xbox (Stadia doesn't do pre-orders yet). You can also order Just Dance 2021 for Switch, Xbox One, and PS4.
Just Dance 2021 will be available on all systems on November 12. So far, just 12 songs have been revealed (out of a total of 40). Players will also one month's free access to Just Dance Unlimited, which unlocks over 550 songs from the franchise's history. After that month, Unlimited is ten bucks a month. During the initial pandemic lockdown, Ubisoft unlocked Unlimited for all players for a couple of months, which was a cool move.
Playing this game online is super fun, and my kids really enjoy competing with people playing all over the world. Sure, its a little silly for my old self to stand there flailing in the living room with my phone in my hand, but no one is looking, so whatever. I'm willing to look like a fool in front of my kids for a little fun.
Here's the first trailer for the new game. No word on a price yet, but we'll keep you posted as more info becomes available.
