Today at DC Fandome, Gotham Knights was announced and it looks like a ton of fun. The Bat family gets their time in the spotlight with Bruce Wayne supposedly dead. I say supposedly because the end of Arkham Knight makes it kind of ambiguous.
With Gotham Knights taking place after the Arkham Knight, it's up to Red Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Robin to keep Gotham safe. And with the Court of Owls being the main bad guys, it's going to take all four of them to protect the city.
Warners has released a seven minute video of the gameplay and yes, you'll be able to play this co-op, which is awesome. Whether you're gun-toting Red Robin teaming with the bo-staff wielding Robin, baton swinging Nightwing, or the tonfa master Batgirl, being able to team up with another friend is going to be hella fun!
The gameplay video shows off a fight between Mr. Freeze along with the usual lead up to the big boss taking down common enemies. And with the ability to play with a friend, I'm expecting all kinds of cool team up moves.
Gothjam Knights is scheduled for sometime in 2021.
- Update - It turns out Gotham Knights has no connection to the Batman Arkham series even though the beginning deals with the aftermath of the last game. The big takeaways are Barbara has the use of her legs hence she's Batgirl and Jim Gordan is dead as he's alive in Arkham Knight. Confusing, yes. But hey, DC's always about the multiverse.
