Ubisoft continues to refuse to make a new Splinter Cell game as they have announced that Sam Fisher will be joining yet another game that isn't his own series as he will be coming to Rainbow Six Siege in Operation Shadow Legacy.
No other information aside from a teaser trailer saying the full reveal is coming Sunday, August 16th at 2PM EST along with the announcement that Sam and another character named Zero will be joining the cast.
As for his abilities, there has got to be something involving his nightvision goggles. Maybe as an attacker he can knock out the lights to a room before infiltrating? Wither way it will be interesting to see how they integrate him into Rainbow Six Siege.
