Adult Swim Games have revealed that we only have a month before we can get our hands on Samurai Jack: Battle through Time. This new trailer reveals that the game apparently spans several eras of Jack's long, arduous 50 year struggle though Aku's twisted future. The game will pit you against classic enemies, includes characters from the whole series, and will let you master a variety of weapons. It also looks like iconic moments from the series' final season will be represented as well.
I'm glad we're getting a more fleshed out look at Jack's journey because as much as I enjoy the show's last season, it felt pretty rushed at times. It's also high time that we got a really good Samurai Jack game, as I've been saying it would make an amazing adventure-platformer ever since the show started in the early 2000s. I played and enjoyed the old GameCube game Samurai Jack: Shadow of Aku back in the day; it had a lot of heart and solid action but it was clearly low budget and hacked together in a hurry. It's nice that Jack will get the big budget, cel-shaded sendoff he's always deserved.
Samurai Jack: Battle through Time comes to PC and consoles next month.
