Stadia's stable of games continues to expand on a regular basis. However, two big sales models common in gaming have yet to be represented in the library - free-to-play titles and early access games.
That will change on May 21, 2020, when firefighting action game Embr enters early access on Stadia.
According to press materials, "Embr is a frantic firefighting game set in a hyper-capitalist reality where traditional emergency services are a thing of the past. Scale buildings, smash windows, fight fires and save lives either alone or with up to four players. Embr is the last stand in a world ablaze."
As the first Stadia early access game, it will be interesting to see how the pricing model for Embr works out. Standard practice is to sell an early access game for a little cheaper, and then raise the price when the game goes into general release. With Stadia traditionally not announcing pricing before a game releases, there is no way of knowing whether they will hold to those standards. However Stadia stages the pricing, Embr looks like an interesting addition to the Stadia library.
