Ubisoft has announced the launch of Tom Clancy's The Division 2 Warlords of New York, available now for digital purchase on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
In Warlords of New York, Divison Agents will embark upon the ultimate manhunt for Aaron Keener, a former Agent gone rogue who has become a major threat to the rebirth of civilization. The untamed, former Dark Zone, open world of Lower Manhattan awaits; set 8 months after the first game, Agents are tasked to explore four new named zones (Two Bridges, Civic Center, Battery Park, and Financial District, all at a 1:1 New York scale) in order to locate Keener and his Rogue Agents. Defeating each Rogue Agent earns the player a new skill.
Warlords of New York will also introduce a new post-launch philosophy. Seasons, a three month-long themed endgame event, is its own mini-campaign featuring a new main target and connecting network to track down. Each Season will offer new gameplay experiences, stories, and rewards, with the first Season beginning March 10. In addition to the Seasonal Manhunt, Seasons will offer some new in-game activities, including Leagues, as well as the return of Global Events. The first Season Pass will be free for all players, with more information about Seasons and the Season Pass available here.
Also available for both Division 2 and Warlords of New York players is Title Update 8, which implements gameplay enhancements based on community feedback. The UI screen has been updated to show roll ranges for each state on gear or weapons, god rolls have returned to improve readability and decision-making, the gear recalibration system has been streamlined, and much more. The three existing Dark Zones in The Division 2 have also been revitalized, returning to simplified rogue mechanics and rewarding player/player interaction. The level cap is also increasing to Level 40 in Warlords of New York, and an infinite progression system called SHD levels is also being introduced.
