So, what are you playing?

In my endless quest to dip into every single huge open-world game on Stadia, I have now begun
Metro Exodus. As someone who has spent an extensive amount of time in Russia, I'm having a great time exploring all of the nooks and crannies of this post-apocalyptic version of the country. I have been a long-time
Fallout devotee, and have often wondered how much the flavor of that game could change when all of the faux-Americana was stripped out and another country's juices were allowed to cook in. Metro Exodus is probably as close as I will come to seeing that dream come true.
I've also been playing the remaster of Patapon 2 on PS4 for review. Here's a preview of my upcoming review: "Patapon 2 is awesome, and I suck at Patapon 2." Stay tuned!

Just in time for the Chinese Year of the Rat (and coronavirus yay), A Plague Tale: Innocence has swarmed onto Xbox Game Pass for PC. Which is just in time for this 183-episode The History of China podcast I'm on episode 2 of. Which is just also in time for my restart of Total War: Three Kingdoms. Which fits the Mongolian influence of my orcish weapons and armor in Skyrim. Which touches on the Japanese cover art to Beck's new Hyperspace album I've been jamming to. Which brings me to Isa Briones, a Filipina-American actress opposite Patrick Stewart in Star Trek: Picard. My entertainment is East Asian as heck this week.

So I went on a little VR kick having not played for a bit. I've bought a few things and am looking at trying out a few others. Boneworks was one VR game I've been meaning to pick up. So now that I got that in place, I'll be shooting some guns in VR. I also reinstalled Fallout 4 VR and Skyrim VR just to jump back into those worlds. I kind of missed losing myself in them so it'll be good to pop back in there. Finally, I'm going to run through the tutorial for Space Engineers and get up to speed on that.
