I'll say it again. PS Plus is the best bargain in gaming. Now I know Microsoft has been stepping up with their games service and I just subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online but I still think PS Plus is the best use of my $40 every year (note: PS Plus is regularly $60 but with a keen eye around Black Friday and Christmas I always find a way to re-up for 20 bucks less). January's free games do not disappoint.
First up we've got Uncharted: The Nathan Dark Collection. This is the remaster for the PS4 of the single player campaigns from all of the first three games in the Uncharted Series. I played each and every one through on the PS3 and have kept putting off the purchase of the Collection for some time now. Looks like procrastination is paying off in this case and I finally get the game without any extra dollars leaving my wallet.
January also sees Goat Simulator ready for download. Goat Simulator is actually the perfect second game for PS Plus. I love when the first is a big AAA title but also love when the 2nd game is something that could be really interesting to play but that I would never, ever spend real money on. Goat Simulator is one of those games for me.
So there you have it. The games will be available to claim starting January 7th. Once claimed they can be downloaded and played at any time in the future so long as you remain a PS Plus subscriber.
