Vampyr, Dontnod's Gothic horror RPG, has finally come to Nintendo Switch. The game garnered positive reviews when it launched for PC, PS4 and Xbox One last year, for its 1918 London setting and conflict-driven narrative and gameplay. As freshly-minted vampire Dr. Jonathan Reid, you have an uncontrollable hunger for human blood, but also the desire to uphold your Hippocratic oath as you battle both the monsters of the underworld and the lethal 1918 flu pandemic. Feasting on innocents grants you a lot of XP, but indiscriminate killing will also significantly impact the game's story and a multitude of narrative threads, quests and the overall chaos of the game world.
I've been excited about this one for a while but just never had the time to pick it up. Maybe I'll be adding it to my Switch library now for something spooky to play on Halloween.
