Following the biggest playlets in Call of Duty history which was the PS4 exclusive Alpha, the folks behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are offering two multiplayer weekends to test out the "close quarter 2v2 Gunfight mode... traditional 6v6 multiplayer gameplay and larger player count firefights. Try new gameplay mechanics, including bullet penetration, gun mounting, door breaching and night vision multiplayer gameplay maps featuring night vision goggles (NVGs) that allow for an amazing tactical experience."
The first Beta is another PS4 exclusive running from Thursday, September 12th to the Monday, September 16th. Of that span the first two days will be for Early Access players who have already pre-ordered the game before going to an open Beta for anyone on PS4. It will be a similar format for the next weekend from September 19th to September 23rd. The first two days open to pre-ordered early access for Xbox One and PC, open Beta for the rest of the time, with the one slight change being PS4 owners can continue to play at anytime, pre-ordered or not for that second weekend.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare releases October 25th for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Catch all the details about the Beta weekends and how to redeem your access code for the pre-orderers on the official blog.
