Atari, the legendary gaming giant, is showing its hand at getting back in the game with their new Atari VCS 800, "a completely modern gaming and video computer system," according to their website.
Described as empowering players to "discover new and classic games on Atari’s new open platform" and utilizes "AMD Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Graphics Technology." While it's not entirely clear whether the console will be able to support contemporary AAA games made for all consoles, it is said to support "web-based streaming videos and entertainment" while also supporting "games at up to 4K resolution and 60fps.*
We posted about another version of the Atari VCS last year, then being available for a pre-order price of $199.
The Atari VCS 800 All in Bundle, including the system, Classic Joystick, and Modern Controller, costs $389.99.
