Microsoft announced the $180 Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 a few days ago at their E3 press conference, but what improvements have they made over the previous one. Well, the video below explains a lot.
The Series 2 controller has been re-engineered to be a high quality, durable, and responsive controller for the Xbox One as well as for the upcoming Xbox Project Scarlett console. You'll be able to do things such as change the tension of the thumbsticks from how it felt on the Xbox 360 controllers all the way to how it is on the Xbox One controllers.
Charging is interesting in that you can charge the controller with the included dock as well as charging it with the dock inside the case through a port on the back. You'll get up to 40 hours on a single charge.
They also go through the testing process a little bit to show you how they are trying to ensure the controllers last a long time.
You can pre-order the controller now for release in November.
