At the recent Epic keynote at the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco, Funcom and the developers at The Bearded Ladies announced the upcoming release of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden for Nintendo Switch. Not only that, but the Switch version will come with an expansion DLC that will also be available for purchase on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, so there's no worrying about console exclusivity with that. Right on the heels of that will come a Deluxe Edition, releasing for all consoles simultaneously, which bundles the base game and the expansion DLC. The date to mark on your calendars here is June 25, 2019 for all aforementioned releases, base and DLC alike.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden combines tactical, turn-based combat with real-time stealth and exploration of a post-human Earth. The game has received several “Best of Show” awards at both E3 and Gamescom. If that strikes your fancy, or if you're ready to get your hands on this version of the game with no convincing needed (it's been out for a while, after all), you can check out the Switch announcement trailer below.
