Resident Evil 2 Remake is great. There, I said it. Although I am busy with other games, either for review or for personal free time, the design of it had a lasting impact on me, and clearly shows that innovation can come from anywhere.
The reception of it has also shown to impact the development team behind it. Speaking in a roundtable discussion, Part 1 of which was released a few days ago, the team got together at a restaurant to talk about the development history over beer and what looks like really good food.
Among the topics discussed is the titular toilet, but also sound, zombies, and even the phases the user interface went through. It's a comprehensive look into the making of the game, and, even though it's almost 8:30 in the morning where I'm at, makes me needful of the beer they're drinking.
Oh beer.
