Battlefield V has released a cinematic single player trailer, giving some insight into the stories they'll tell throughout the single player campaign. The story structure appears to be consistent with Battlefield 1's war stories, which told the stories of many different characters across different fronts of the war.
From the trailer, there seem to be at least four different war stories to be told, and each one appears to have a good degree of continuity. That is to say, I get a vibe from the trailer that each story is told across multiple missions, rather than one mission per character.
I really dig on this trailer. It seems like the story is going to blend together the emotionally deep moments that Battlefield 1 captured with the fantastic large scale moments that Battlefield has always excelled at. From the trailer alone, there are so many environments that look beautiful, and will undoubtedly make for an incredible visual experience.
If you're a fan of the Kingsman or Kick-Ass movies, the narration may have had your brain tingling to match the voice. The narration of the prologue and epilogue is done by none other than Mark Strong, who does an utterly fantastic job in the trailer. I'm really looking forward to hearing more in the full game. Battlefield V releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 20th.
