The XCOM 2: War of the Chosen – Tactical Legacy Pack is out today, Commander. There's no base-building in the Tactical Legacy Pack; it's just back-to-back missions, focusing on skirmishes and events taking place between XCOM: Enemy Within and XCOM 2.
I've finally gotten back into XCOM 2 after a "this game has serious balance issues" hiatus I took for two years. All I did was take the difficulty down a notch and suddenly it was enjoyable again. Get mad if you want, I'ma do me. Either way, I'm personally not ready for this Tactical Legacy Pack yet. It's high-level content. But it's something I'm finally willing to work towards.
The Tactical Legacy Pack comes with new game modes, new maps (not to mention a reworking of some old favorites), new weapons, new armor, new Photobooth options, and more. All that stuff sounds great, but I really want to hear the new soundtrack, which is a revamped version of the original UFO: Enemy Unknown a.k.a. X-COM: UFO Defense from 1994. Sounds so good with its gritty, greasy synths.
XCOM 2: War of the Chosen – Tactical Legacy Pack is out now on Steam and requires both baseline XCOM 2 and the XCOM 2: War of the Chosen expansion pack to play. The Tactical Legacy Pack is free if you already own War of the Chosen, however, and there's a juicy -40% to -60% off sale going on right now on Steam.
