Late last May, Digital Sun Games and 11 bit studios released the indie title Moonlighter. In a world of fantasy, dungeons, and monsters, the player finds themselves in the shoes of a young shopkeeper, who "moonlights" (get it?) as an adventurer in order to procure items to sell and learn more about the mysterious nature of the world's dungeons.
Originally released on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, Digital Sun Games has been hinting at a Switch launch since the release of the game. As of today, Digital Sun has officially confirmed that Moonlighter will be coming to Nintendo Switch in November 2018. Although the exact release date is unconfirmed, it's a good sign to see this coming so soon.
I played Moonlighter shortly after release on PC and can speak to the quality of the game. The art and visuals are just plain stunning, and the game strikes an incredible balance between the shopkeeping and dungeon crawling mechanics. Also, the game seemed like a natural fit for the Switch since the first time I played it, so it's exciting to see it end up there months after release.
