Atlus USA is on a bit of a roll this week, with not just one, but two very different but equally anticipated remastered titles dropping yesterday, May 15th.
First up was Dragon’s Crown Pro, the 4K PS4/Pro remaster of the beloved PS3 and Vita game. Boasting cross-save capability with both of those systems, Dragon’s Crown Pro is also rocking an brand new orchestral score. The game is available for $49.99 both digitally and in the “Battle Hardened” physical edition, which comes in a steel case and includes 7 collectible skill cards.
Releasing simultaneously was Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, available for the 3DS. A remaster of the beloved DS title Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, the new version includes all sorts of fun goodies, including “three alternate endings, a menagerie of new demons, additional difficulty settings, and the mysterious and dangerous new character, Alex.” Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux is available both digitally and physically for $39.99.
Atlus does a great job with these remasters. For RPG fans, Atlus can be a bit of a godsend. The Radiant Historia redo that released earlier this year was stellar, and these new titles show the company’s continuing dedication to its franchises and fans. And of course, they continue to bring new games to the US that we might otherwise never get (Persona, anyone?), making them worthy of both high praise and financial support.
